'Grinch,' 'Rugrats,' dogs online Site-Seeing with Jan Perry
Traditionally the holidays bring some big movies to the screen. This year the movies are also
big fun. And it is no surprise that the ''Rugrats,'' the ''Grinch'' and all those dalmatians
are scoring big with audiences. http://disney.go.com/disneypictures. There's a
much longer address that takes you directly to the ''102 Dalmatians'' page, but this will get
you there with less typing. When the page pops up, just click on the poster and then hang on
to your spots. Disney has outdone itself. The opening animation plays like a mini-movie while
the street scene graphics are interactive and well designed. Click on the car (Cruella's Ride)
to play games. Click on the Dog Day News to read all about the movie. The Dog Shelter takes
you to Spotted University for more puppy play. Cruella's Boutique lets you hit the runway
wearing fabulous(furless) fashions. http://www.hsus.org/dalmatians/dalmatianflyer.html. I'd be remiss in my duty as an animal lover if I didn't also list this Humane
Shelter warning about buying a Dalmatian because they seem cute and cuddly in the movie.
Dalmatians are wonderful dogs, but high maintenance and not for everyone. http://www.cooltoons.com. If your kids are ''Rugrats'' fans,
they'll like this site. Not only are there games to play and products to buy, there is a whole
section about the new movie, ''Rugrats in Paris: The Movie.'' Try your hand at a drawing
lesson or watch a slide show from the full-length animated feature. http://www.rugratonline.com
. Another great ''Rugrats'' site, this is a wonderful unofficial page. It has an episode
database, a complete script of the first movie, behind-scenes secrets about the new film and
much more. http://www.grinched.com. The opening art
alone is worth a visit to this unofficial site. Wonderful graphics, games and information.
Sign in and get your ''Who'' name, play games and find out all about the movie. Even the
Grinch loves this one. www.jimcarreyonline.com. Fans of
the man will find a lot to look at on this interesting site. Even if you visit the other
Grinch pages, be sure to look at the Grinch section here as well. http://www.fairytales-for-kids.com. A
great page if you have kids and want to check out the latest movies directed at them. Included
are those mentioned here plus ''The Emperor's New Groove,'' ''Dr. Dolittle 2,'' ''Stuart
Little 2'' and ''Jurassic Park 3.'' There is brief mention of next year's eagerly awaited
version of ''The Lord of the Rings.'' Jan Perry is a freelance writer. Send questions or
