Ghostly sites enhance Halloween Site-Seeing with Jan Perry With
the haunted holiday just days away, requests are still coming in for more Halloween sites.
Here are a few more of my lesser-known - more off-the-wall - favorites. http://www.raken.com/monster/index.asp. A nice
place to visit late in October - or any other time of the year for that matter. This is
Monster Ridge, home to four areas of adventure, Halloween, the Swamp, Transylvania and Dread
Manor. Share all the haunted happenings at this madly moody site. http://members.nbci.com/candiecorn.. This site has
a bit of everything, from best scary movies to directions for carving a Winnie-the-Pooh
pumpkin. Not all sections have been updated recently, but most of this stuff is timeless
anyway. http://www.castleofspirits.com. A fast
stop past the Castle of Spirits will get you a collection of true spooky stories, some
great links and the chance to participate in a horror movie poll. http://www.museumoftalkingboards.com. This is a
wonderful site covering the history and the mystery that surrounds ''talking boards.'' From
the well-known Ouiji to the odd and dramatic ka-bala, this site covers them all. (By the way,
if you are really interested in these fortune-telling, future-predicting tools, the links page
is not to be missed.) http://www.ghostweb.com. At the
International Ghost Hunters Society site, you'll find thousands of photos of ghosts and
ghostly apparitions as well as page after page of stuff you might find in an X-file. http://www.ksghosts.com. This is the site for the Kansas
Ghost Hunters Society and B&C Paranormal Investigations Home Page. If you're interested in
some ghostly photos and ''real'' ghost stories, this site claims to have them. http://members.nbci.com/rascal/Halloween/Halloween2.html. Looking for some great graphics to add to your personal Web pages?
This site offers some spooktacular scenes as well as an interesting history of our now
familiar Halloween. http://www.the-v
oid.dk/incident/intro.html. These ghostly images created such a stir, two Web hosts
refused to let them be shown on their servers. Read the story and study the photos then take a
look at the rest of Balder Olrik's art. Jan Perry is a freelance writer. Send questions
