Of course I love Lucy - doesn't everyone? (I love Dezi and Fred and Ethyl, too.) I couldn't let their 50th slip by without dedicating a column to the comic genius of the crazy redhead and her Babalu baby.
http://www.eaglerock-is.com/ilovelucy. The graphics are fun here (the candy conveyer belt on the home page is too clever). This one is packed. You'll find cast, characters, songs, lyrics, quotes, photos, links, ratings, books and even TV listings.
http://www.geocities.com/weirdgirl84. This is worth a visit if for no other reason than to take a look at the photo on the opening page - it's pure Lucy. Lots of photos, polls, even Lucy-O-Grams and a chat room for those who just can't get enough.
http://www.lucytalk.com. This one has slideshows and fun facts and trivia and nearly everything you could think of when it comes to Lucy. Play Lucy hangman, or Lucy Concentration. Send Lucy e-mails from your very own free e- mail service.
http://www.angelfire.com/yt/LucyRickyEthelFred/index.html. This one is from Anna, a younger Lucy fan. Fun here are her imagined happy and unhappy endings for the Ricardos, the Mertzes, Little Ricky and all the pets.
http://thehive.tripod.com/Lucy.html. This is only a brief mention - but it has some classic photos, it's clever and I agree with the page philosophy about what makes the show so timeless.
http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/3575. This is Nick Leffler's Lucy site. He loves her so much, he's created a club you can join and a chat room where you can join in. You can also download several songs from the show.
http://www.luciearnaz.com. This is Lucy's daughter's site. Find out what Lucie Arnaz has been up to and read about her participation in the 50th festivities.
http://members.aol.com/TampaChatr/ilovelucy.html. This isn't the biggest or the flashiest site I found, but I like it because it has a trivia game that includes the entire cast of the show.
http://members.tripod.com/ilovelucyzone/id17.html. I loved the bloopers. Here's my favorite, ''In 'Vacation From Marriage' #41, Lucy & Ethel each claim they can predict what their husband will do and say down to the last word. Ethel says 'he hasn't varied 5 minutes in 22 years.'' Then in the following scene, Fred says ''after 25 years of marriage'' - (I guess to Fred it feels like 25).
So THAT'S what they mean when they say the show is timeless!
